Reports of breaches must be interpreted broadly. In addition to actual breaches that have occurred, reasonable suspicions and potential breaches that are likely to occur may also be reported.
Reports relating to purely employment-related matters and human resources management that do not constitute a case of workplace harassment should be channelled through the standard procedures of each of the companies that make up Velora.
Velora guarantees the confidentiality of the identity of the person making the report and of the person or persons affected by it throughout all stages of the investigation and resolution of the breach.
The identity of the person making the report may only be disclosed where there is a legal obligation to disclose it to a judicial or administrative authority, or where it is strictly necessary to share such information with external advisers and other Velora service providers for the operation of the Ethics Channel itself. In such cases, the same level of confidentiality applied internally will be required.
Anonymous reports are also permitted and will be handled in the same manner.
It should be noted that, in such cases, the reporter cannot be informed of the status of their report or the outcome of the investigation.
Impartiality and protection against retaliation
Velora will handle all reports with complete impartiality and without prejudice of any kind, and will not tolerate retaliation of any sort against those who make use of the Ethics Channel in good faith.
